The project
Municipalities play a key role in the transition from natural gas to sustainable heat. Confidence helps them in this process. In collaboration with Dutch and Danish experts, we are translating the successful Danish model for heat networks into Dutch practice. In this way, we connect knowledge, policy, and implementation, and together we are accelerating the heat transition.

At Confidence, district heating experts come together to share knowledge and build on each other's expertise.
In April 2025, Dutch and international partners gathered for the first time in Sneek for the Confidence . A new two-day event is scheduled for November 2026, featuring more in-depth content, real-world examples, and new connections.
We translate complex topics to practical insights. You will gain insights from Denmark, translated into how municipalities and partners organize, finance, and implement them in the Netherlands.
